Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day just passed by not long ago. As usual, we saw people buying dozens of red roses,

..boxes of ferrero rocher..

..or big Valentine’s bear and so on for their love ones.

Some even celebrated it by having a romantic candle light dinner at hotels or restaurants. All these are done just to make that particular day special and meaningful. And by the way, all these cost a large sum of money, especially on Valentine’s Day.

Actually, do we really need all these and spend so much money on it just to make it special and meaningful? Well, the answer is not necessarily, if only you are creative enough with things around you. This means that as long as you creatively interpret the gift you give to your love ones, it would be special enough.

Nowadays you can find these pairs keychain in most of the shops and it don’t really cost that much. A pair of keychain of a girl and a boy, you can give to the opposite sex. It means you have your love one with you always, and your love ones have you. Or maybe a pair of keychain where one is a heat shape padlock and another one is a key. Guess what, it means ‘I am the key of your heart’. Simply things, but interpret it creatively.

If you don’t want keychains, the most common gift to give is a handmade card. Yes, do it yourself! By a nice and simple card, decorate it with your own creativity. Write some stuff inside the card for example how much you appreciate your love ones or even the ups and downs you both went through. You can always paste in some sweet photos of both of you too.

Now, that we have done it ourselves, how about cooking or baking it yourself? People in this modern era are either lazy or can hardly cook or bake. Try learning to cook a simple dish which is your love one’s favourite, or learn how to bake cakes or cookies. This way, you need not to have a candle light dinner to feel the romance.

Make an effort to make things around you creative. I’m sure your love ones would be so touched when he or she knows you actually took the trouble to make the gifts creative and special. Believe me, it’s not the money that you spent that matters most, but it is your heart which love them that matters!

Wish you a Happy belated Valentine's day!! ^^
